The 15 Km line 2 is currently under construction and will intersect with Line 1 at “Imam
Hossein Square”
Line 2 will pass “Aadel Abad” via “Enghelab Street” and “Basij Square”. There will be two
separate tunnels, each with 7 m in diameter, at the depth of 15 m. Among the 10 planned
stations, there will be 2 above the ground stations

Project introduction
The first phase of a tram line will start from the “Saadi” and after passing
through “Adabiat” and “Hafiziya” streets, it will reaches “Atlasi Square”. The
second phase will start from Atlasi Square passing through “Hejrat Boulevard”,
“Karimkhani Citadel”, “Holy Shrine of Shahcheragh”, and “Shahzadeh Qasim”. The
third phase starts from Shahzadeh Qasim and reaches “Esteghlal Terminal”
Aiming to create a path in the city for the purpose of facilitating
accessibility to most historical, cultural, and religious places of Shiraz
Shiraz tram, with a length of 10 Km, is designed to start from “The Tomb of
Saadi”passing through “The Tomb of Hafez”, “Isfahan Gate”, “Zandieh” urban
(Municipality Square), HolyShrine of Shahcheragh reaching “Terminal of

Project introduction
Shiraz is the capital of the “Fars Province”. When operated, line 1 of
the Shiraz metro will be 24.5km long and will connect “Gol-e-Sorkh” and “Ehsan”
squares. There are 20 underground stations and one above-ground (“Chamran
Bridge”)
Constructions for Line 1 were started in 2001, and the first phase was
officially commenced on October 11, 2014. The first phase runs 11 km between
Ehsan Square in the northwestern part of the city and “Namazi Square” downtown
with eight stations in between it also runs on the ground surface between
“Mirza-yé Shirazi” and “Shahed” stations. The second phase was recently
commenced and offers service in “Gol-é-Sorkh Station”, located just by the city
airport in the southeastern part of the city. This caused the extension of line
1 to 24.5 km with 19 underground stations, and one above the ground
